Low-Level Laser Therapy
Support healing. Reduce pain and inflammation. Get back to doing more.
Apex now offers Erchonia® EVRL low-level laser therapy as a separate, non-invasive treatment option designed to support the body’s natural healing processes.
Laser therapy may be used to help with pain and inflammation, support tissue recovery, complement post-surgical healing, and enhance care for a variety of musculoskeletal and neurologic concerns.
See How Low-Level Laser Therapy Works
EVRL uses specific wavelengths of laser light to interact with the body at the cellular level. The goal is to support cellular energy production and the natural processes involved in healing and recovery.
Treatments are non-invasive, painless, and typically take only a few minutes.

What Is Low-Level Laser Therapy?
A different kind of laser treatment
Low-level laser therapy, sometimes called cold laser therapy, uses concentrated wavelengths of light without cutting, heating, or damaging tissue.
The light is absorbed at the cellular level, where it can influence cellular energy production. Research shows effects including reduced inflammation, pain modulation, accelerated tissue repair, increased vascular activity, improved nerve function, and support for wound healing.
At Apex, laser therapy is used as one more tool within our individualized approach to care.
What Can Laser Therapy Help Support?
Because every condition and recovery process is different, laser therapy is not recommended the same way for every patient.
Pain and Inflammation
A non-invasive option for pain and inflammation
Low-level laser therapy may help support pain relief in several ways, including influencing inflammation, swelling, nerve sensitivity, and local tissue activity.
For patients who want additional ways to manage pain without relying only on medication, laser therapy may be a useful part of their care plan.
Support Healing and Recovery
Help your body do what it is already designed to do
Low-level laser therapy is intended to support the healing processes by influencing cellular energy production, blood flow, tissue repair, and other biological responses involved in recovery.
We may recommend laser therapy to support recovery from:
- Sports or activity-related injuries
- Tendon, ligament, or muscle irritation
- Repetitive-use injuries
- Surgery
- Acute injuries
- Chronic areas that have been slow to improve
Laser therapy does not replace appropriate medical or surgical care. It may be used alongside other treatment when clinically appropriate.
Plantar Fasciitis
Laser therapy for plantar fasciitis and persistent foot pain
EVRL laser therapy may be incorporated into care to support inflammation management, tissue recovery, and pain relief while other contributing factors such as mobility, biomechanics, and activity are addressed.
For some patients, the best approach may combine laser therapy with chiropractic care, rehabilitation exercises, or other recommendations based on the underlying cause of the problem.
Neck and Shoulder Pain
Support for chronic or recurring neck and shoulder pain
We look beyond the painful area alone. Depending on the patient, laser therapy may be combined with gentle chiropractic care, neurologic rehabilitation, movement, or other approaches to address both symptoms and contributing factors.
The goal is to help create a better environment for recovery and improved function.
Concussion Recovery Support
Another tool within our neurologic approach to concussion care
At Apex, concussion care may address visual, vestibular, proprioceptive, musculoskeletal, and neurologic factors based on the individual patient.
Low-level laser therapy may be used as a supportive tool within that broader plan when clinically appropriate, particularly when inflammation, tissue recovery, pain, or neurologic function are part of the clinical picture.
Laser therapy is not presented as a standalone treatment or cure for concussion. It is one potential component of individualized care.
Functional Medicine and Whole-Body Care
Supporting healing from more than one direction
For patients working on inflammation, recovery, nutrition, metabolic health, or other underlying factors, laser therapy may provide an additional non-invasive way to support the body’s healing environment.
As with all care at Apex, recommendations are based on the individual rather than a preset protocol.
Is This the Same as Red-Light Therapy at Home?
No, this is not the same as red light therapy at home.
The Erchonia® EVRL is a professional low-level laser system designed for clinical use.
It uses specific red and violet laser wavelengths and professional treatment protocols. This differs from many LED lamps, panels, masks, and other consumer products commonly marketed as “red-light therapy.”
EVRL allows the Apex team to use professional laser technology as part of an individualized clinical treatment plan.
Erchonia is an established manufacturer of FDA-cleared low-level laser technology.
