Chiropractic Care for Pain Relief and Improved Function
Individualized chiropractic care focused on gentle techniques and long-term improvement.
Helping people reduce pain, restore movement, and improve quality of life.
How Chiropractic Care Helps with Pain Relief
When you start care with us, we will do a thorough history, which will guide the physical exam we do. This exam typically includes range of motion, posture assessment, simple movement and balance tests, orthopedic tests, and may include neurologic testing or other tests. These help identify how the muscles, joints, and nerves are working together, and where the problems are. Then we can put treatment plan together, which will evolve over time as you progress.
Treatment plans typically include:
- Gentle chiropractic adjustments which help restore proper joint movement, and reduce muscle spasms and support better brain function.
- At home exercises to improve balance and strength, and to support better posture and biomechanics.
- In office therapy like electric stimulation which can help reduce spasms, and reduce pain and inflammation.
- Food plans and supplementation to reduce inflammation and support tissue healing.
- Re-evaluations to measure progress, and to update the treatment plan based on changes.
This is adaptive and individualized care.

How Chiropractic Care Works for Pain Relief
- Your Nervous System
The nervous system controls and coordinates everything in your body—when communication improves, your body functions and adapts better. - Joint Mechanics
Joints are designed to move—when motion is restricted, it can disrupt how your brain and body communicate. - Posture & Movement
Your posture is a reflection of how your brain organizes movement—stress and habits can create patterns that impact how you feel and perform. - Neurologic Integration
Your brain relies on accurate input from your body—improving that input helps restore better coordination, efficiency, and control. - Lifestyle Factors
Sleep, stress, nutrition, and daily habits all influence how well your nervous system functions and how your body recovers.

What Our Patients Experience
Common Questions about Chiropractic for Pain Relief
Does chiropractic help with pain relief?
Chiropractic care can be an effective option for many types of pain, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, and joint pain. At Apex Chiropractic & Wellness Center, we take a more individualized approach to pain relief by combining gentle chiropractic care with other therapies when needed. Rather than focusing only on short-term symptom relief, we look at how your body is functioning as a whole to help improve comfort, movement, and overall quality of life over time
Is chiropractic care gentle?
Yes — our approach to chiropractic care is designed to be gentle and adaptable to each person. We do not use a one-size-fits-all technique. Care is adjusted based on your comfort level, condition, and how your body responds. Many patients who are hesitant about traditional chiropractic methods are surprised by how comfortable and controlled the experience can be.
How many visits will I need for pain relief?
The number of visits varies depending on your condition, how long you’ve been dealing with pain, and how your body responds to care. Some people notice improvement relatively quickly, while others — especially those with more persistent or complex pain — benefit from a longer-term approach. We focus on making steady progress over time rather than offering quick fixes, and we’ll discuss recommendations with you based on your specific situation.
Do you take insurance for chiropractic care?
We accept many insurance plans and also work with patients who prefer to self-pay. Coverage can vary depending on your plan, so our team can help you understand your benefits and what to expect. We also operate on a fee-for-service model, which allows us to focus on providing care based on your needs rather than being limited by insurance restrictions.
Do I need X-rays before starting chiropractic care?
Not always. X-rays or other imaging are only recommended when clinically appropriate. In many cases, we can begin care without imaging, especially if your condition does not require it. If imaging or lab work would provide helpful insight into your situation, we will discuss that with you and guide you through the next steps.
What if I’ve already tried other treatments for my pain?
Many of the patients we work with have already tried other approaches — such as physical therapy, medications, or other forms of care — without getting the results they were hoping for. Our approach is different in that we look at the bigger picture and adapt care based on how your body responds over time. If previous treatments haven’t fully resolved your pain, that doesn’t mean improvement isn’t possible — it may just require a more individualized approach.
